EIG가 리튬전지, 특히 향후 이슈가 될 하이브리드에서 전기차로 이슈가 ?グ? 감에 따라 , 전기차에서 가장 중요한 것은

바로 대용량 리튬이온 2차전지인데, 그것을 최초로 상용화한 기업이 삼성SDI, LG화학도 아닌 EIG라는 사실을

알고 투자에 임해야 할 것입니다. 단지 대주주가 너무 많은 지분을 가지고 있어, 이런 사실에서 기관이나

외인들이 얼마나 들어올지는 미지수이지만 개미물량은 404만주에 불과합니다.

시간이 자나면서 서서히 많은 것들의 진실이 나오고 엄청난 폭팔력을 지닌 상승이 도래 하겠지만

자동차용 리튬전지는 완성차 업계와 전지회사와의 짝짓기에서 모든 것이 결정된다는 사실입니다.

물론 목표가도 제 생각에 불과 할수도 있지만 그 내용을 면밀하게 보시면 어느정도 윤곽이 나올 것입니다.

진실은 언제나 어느순간 드러나고 세상에 급부상하며 떠오르는 별이 된다는 것입니다.

High performance lithium battery manufacturer is first Korean Lithium Ion large format battery manufacturer to gain ISO based certification critical to the transportation markets.

Santa Clara, CaliforniaXXX8212;June 10, 2009XXX8212;Energy Innovation Group Ltd. (EIG) a company that manufactures high energy and power density lithium ion batteries achieved ISO/TS16949 certification for its design, development and production processes.

“We are proud to be the first Korean large format lithium ion battery manufacturer to receive this certification and validation of our processes at EIG. While our customers have always embraced our products and processes with confidence this certification provides further validation for those customers who do not yet know EIG,” said Seog Bum Kang, Chief Executive Officer of EIG Ltd.

“We look forward to duplicating and scaling the proven and certified EIG processes in our planned US based manufacturing plant,” added Charlie Duncheon, President and CEO of EIG America, Inc.  “This certification is key for our focus on the transportation industry.”

ISO/TS16949 is and automotive quality management system based on ISO 9001 and emphasizes defect prevention and reduction of variation and waste at all steps in the design and manufacturing process.  This standard is the required QMS standard for the global automotive supplier base.

한국 사장인 강성범은

대용량 리튬 이온 배터리 공장은 한국 최초이며

인증이 디자인, 생산 과정을 대상으로 한다는 것,

이 인증이 국제적인 자동 공급 지를 위한 품질관리시스템 기준을 통과한 것이고

미국사장인 찰리 던천은 이 인증이 수송산업의 키가 될 것입니다.

미국에 진출해서 미국시장을 노리겠다는 것이고, 그것을 위한 기술적 준비가 끝났다는 것이겠죠.

미국인증을 받았으니 이제 대량생산은 시간문제인 것 같네요.

EIG Awarded PHEV Development Contract by Korean Government

EIG is happy to announce that it has been awarded a development contract from the Korean government for a next generation PHEV lithium ion battery.  The Ministry announced in October that it is investing in a joint development consortium consisting of Hyundai Motors, LG Chemicals, Samsung/Bosch limotive, and EIG.  This joint development for batteries is part of a $13M government program and will be focused on the PHEV vehicle for Hyundai.

Since 2000, lithium batteries have been used to power for mobile phone, laptops and mobile devices.  Due to recent high oil prices and the need to reduce emission, lithium batteries have expanded to be used in transportation and energy storage applications.  The Korena Ministry has targeted 2012 for commercialization of the new PHEV 20 mile battery.

그러니까 위 글의 요지는 한국정부가 차세대 PHEV 리튬이온베터리를 위한 개발협약을 발주했고, 현대자동차 엘지화학, 삼성/보쉬. EIG의 죠인트개발콘서시움에서 연구되고 있다는 당국의 발표가 있었고,  2012년까지 PHEV 상용화를 목표로 한다는 것이네요.

중요한 것은 바로 이 PHEV라는 놈이죠.

그러면 요 놈이 왜 이리 중요하냐.

어느 정도 규모가 있는 대부분의 자동차 메이커들은 부품 회사와 손을 잡고 리튬-이온 배터리의 개발에 매진하고 있는데, 그 개발에 매달리는 이유는  미국 CAFE와 유럽 CO2 규정을 반드시 만족해야 하고 그러기 위해서는 실생활에 가까운 하이브리드 또는 플러그-인 하이브리드(이하 PHEV)의 개발이 필수이기 때문이라고 합니다.

누가 빨리 PHEV를 상용화하느냐 거의 전쟁이 벌어지고 있는 것이고, 또 그들이 공언한 때에 맞춰 PHEV와 전기차가 양산되기 위해서는 동력원의 핵심이라 할 수 있는 리튬-이온 배터리의 문제가 선결되어야 한다는거죠. 그래서 리튬-이온 배터리가 현 상황에서 가장 중요한 아이템으로 떠오르고 있다는 것입니다.  금방 끝날 아이템이 아니죠?

‘2010년 볼트 양산’을 계속 외치고 있는 GM은 누구보다도 리튬-이온의 개발에 적극적이다. 이번 제네바 모터쇼에 선보인 차세대 하이브리드 시스템의 핵심도 바로 리튬-이온이다. 이번에 공개된 하이브리드 시스템은 볼트에 얹혀 2010년부터 양산될 예정이다. GM은 새 리튬-이온 배터리 팩이 현재의 니켈-메탈 방식 보다 3배 이상 성능이 뛰어나다고 밝혔다.
